This is a resource book meant to help Spanish-speaking parents and students understand the U.S. school system. It contains valuable advice and prepares both parents and students to get a head start when it come to making academic decisions. Furthermore, this book prepares parents to deal with different obstacles and challenges, including academic strategies, parent involvement, the appropriate use of social media, toxic friendships, bullying and much more. The author, Angel Lerma, has contributed his knowledge of parent involvement to several Spanish media outlets, such Univision, Telemundo and Mundo Fox. In addition, his academic work has been endorsed by Danny Trejo a champion of the Latino community who is always seeking to improve the living conditions of minority student.
